In the context of strengthening international medical cooperation and jointly promoting the development of global public welfare medical undertakings, on July 18, medical super intendent OF the hospital- Dr Akua Gyimah-Asante and  head of administration Charles Banafo of the China-Ghana Friendship Hospital (LEKMA HOSPITAL) in Accra, the capital of Ghana, During a visit to the  Shenzhen Reinventing Future Commonweal Foundation, the two parties had in-depth exchanges and discussions on public welfare medical projects to assist the disabled. Yang Chunhong, the Chairman of Longhua District Disabled Persons' Federation ,accompanied the visit.

 

In the morning, they visited the office of the Shenzhen Reinventing Future Commonweal Foundation, and learned in detail about the foundation’s development history, operating model and achievements in charity medical care for the disabled. After learning about the pre- and postoperative changes of disabled friends, Dr. Akua said that there are more than 5 million disabled people in Ghana, and it is very meaningful to provide help to them. He looks forward to carrying out this charity operation in Ghana.

 

In the afternoon, accompanied byZhang Yingying, Dr Akua and Charles arrived at the South China Hospital of Shenzhen University. They visited the disabled friends after surgery in the ward, greeted everyone in Chinese, and encouraged the disabled friends to persevere. Train and get well soon. Pan Qi, Assistant Dean and Head of Orthopedics and Reconstructive Surgery of South China Hospital of Shenzhen University, introduced the concepts of hospital and discipline development , and he shared the department’s relevant experience in functional reconstruction for disabled friends.

This visit not only deepened the mutual understanding and trust between the two parties in the medical field, but also laid a solid foundation for the subsequent cooperation between the two parties in public welfare medical care for the disabled. In the future, Shenzhen Reinventing Future Commonweal Foundation will continue to uphold its mission of "protecting lives and Reinventing the future", work hand in hand with global partners, and contribute more to the development of global public welfare medical undertakings.
